Triton Systems, Inc. (Triton) was founded in 1992 as a leading applied research and development company dedicated to creating products and processes for the US government and commercial markets. Since then we have evolved into an integrated applied R&D and product development firm with a global expertise in myriad of markets. We combine US federal government funds with private equity to fund most of our initial research. These investments form the core of our technical expertise and benefit both our government and commercial clients. We work with many US government agencies including the US Air Force, Army, DOE, NASA, Navy, NIH, NSF and DARPA.

Over the last ten years we have made significant breakthroughs, won awards, and spun-off products and operating companies that create value, not only for our government customers, but to the commercial marketplace as well.

Excelling at Technology Transfer

Early in the development cycle of new products, we establish relationships with major corporate partners that form the infrastructure to support the transfer of these products from the laboratory to the market place. Basically, it's a five-step process:

• Identify solutions to specific research problems posed by US government and commercial clients - solutions that will create value in future commercial markets
• We then develop proof of concept prototypes,
• Then small scale production articles are created,
• and finally, scaled-up solutions ready for revenue production
• We then leverage these technologies by spinning them out into the commercial marketplace

Everything we do is in collaboration with our clients, and every project is focused on delivering compelling value.

During this process (typically six months to two years), Triton leverages its technical leadership with marketing and financial expertise to form alliances with strategic partners, joint ventures or company spin-offs to best position these products and process in the marketplace.

Our areas of expertise range form advanced materials, structural composites, electronics, informatics and portable power systems. Our technologies are used in medical device, environment, energy, biochemical sensing/decontamination, defense and aerospace applications.
